| Qualification |
Applicants must fulfill all of the following conditions.
- Pursue research independently based on your own research plan.
- Have a Ph.D. obtained within 10 years or expect to be awarded a Ph.D. by the date of appointment.
* In case it is not possible to submit a certificate of expected Ph.D. by the application deadline, submit a letter of expected graduation by your supervisor. |

| Term |
Initially 3 years, renewed up to 5 years based on annual evaluation.
*If the applicant is already in NIMS as a non-permanent researcher (Post doc et al.), the max contract term depends on work experience at NIMS. |

| Work Hours |
The discretionary labor system will be applied. It is deemd appropriate that candidates work for 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. Telecommuting program is available (up to 4 days per month). |
| Holiday |
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3), annual paid leave, summer holidays, maternity leave, and other types of leave as specified in the Working Regulations for Fixed Term Employees. |
| Salary / Supply |
Annual salary 6.04 million yen~ (social insurance premiums and taxes included)
Commuting allowance *limited
※Advantages are given when applying for NIMS permanent researcher position. |
| Trial Period |
Two months from the start date of employment |
| Insurance |
Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
