Microstructure Analysis Technology Group
2016.04.01 UpdateThe most of actual practical materials have very complex microstructure and/or composition; for example, such as steel also for structural material has nano-structured morphology made by complex composition and processing. In order to develop new materials, which have remarkable properties, combination of required property and accurate evaluation on microstructure is essential. The main purpose of this research group is to develop new measurement techniques to understand this relationship between property and microstructure mainly based on electron microscopy.
Specialized Research Field
Development and application of microstructure analysis techniques based on electron microscopy:
i) To obtain new information on interfaces such as grain boundary, twin boundary, etc.
ii) To obtain quantitative information on microstructure; elemental and morphological dispersion, etc.
