Job Summary Under the MEXT, JSPS and JST projects in the IFCS group, the successful candidates will address computational/data-driven science researchs on the battery or catalyst field.  The detailed targets are as follows:
  1. DFT-based sampling researchers on electrochemical reactions and interfacial phenomena in battery
  2. Design of novel solid electrolytes for all-solid-state batteries by DFT and informatics techniques
  3. Development of theoretical/computational methods such as first-principles, chemical kinetics, & reaction engineering simulations, for the prediction of    catalytic activity & tunover and kinetics-related phenomena in battery

  1. Receiving a PhD in physics, chemistry or materials science
  2. Experience of DFT first-principles calculations or classical molecular dynamics calculations
  3. Knowledge of Fortran and/or Python
  4. Willing to intensively contribute to the group activity as well as discussion with the collaborators
  5. Good skill of English writing and communication
Starting Date After 1 September 2020 (negotiable)
Term The contract can be renewed every year. Its term will be up to 5 years with the high potential extension. It is subject to performance and a project duration.

Work Hours Discretionary labor system
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays
Salary / Supply According to NIMS regulation or project regulation
About JPY 4.0 - 4.2 million of basic annual salary
