Job Summary  To assist/support in the R&D tasks of Interface Computational Science Group.  Specifically,
  1. To perform calculations using material simulation software (e.g., VASP).
  2. With the use of scripting, to perform and support for data procesing and data organizing tasks for material simulation results, including relevant document preparations.
  3. To carry out other relevant/related tasks, as assigned by the employer.
Qualification
  1.  Having interest in above tasks.
  2. Experience and knowledge of shell, python, and/or Fortran languages in Linux environment, for writing, improving, and executing programs and scripts.
  3. Experience and knowledge of, or willingness to do and learn, material simulation calculations.
  4. Independently capable of using Microsoft Office, electronic mail, internet, etc.
  5. Skill of English writing and communication is desirable but not mandatory.
Starting Date After 1 June, 2019 (negotiable)
Term Until 31 March, 2020 for the first round (renewable depending on the performance up to 5 years)
Work Place Namiki site, National Institute for Materials Science (Tsukuba city, Ibaraki)
Work Hours 5 hours to 7 hours and 45 minutes per day, 2 days to 4 days per week (negotiable)
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays
Salary / Supply According to the NIMS regulation
Commuting allowance is available. (subject to payment conditions, there is an upper limit)
