Computational Nanoscience Group

Ultimate target of our research is to design new (nano-)materials. For this purpose, we study materials properties from various computational and theoretical methods. Especially, we are interested in enhanced responses or new phenomena caused by nano-scale atomic and electronic structures.

Research Field

We study the following research.
  • Search of new materials which exhibit exotic properties
  • Low dimensional system such as surfaces, interfaces, layered materials, nanosheets
  • Optimization of materials properties by artificial nano-structures
  • Investigation of network materials
  • linear and nonlinear responses to electromagnetic fields
  • Control of materials properties by external fields
