We focus on the design and fabrication of functional structures, characterization of properties, and development for industrial and energy applications of low-dimensional nanomaterials including graphene, carbon nanotubes, boride, carbide, and oxide nanowires.

Synthesis, assembly, characterization, and applications of nanostructures and devices based on one-dimensional nanomaterials. Key applications include carbon nanotube probes, supercapacitors, and next-generation field-emission point electron sources for electron microscopes:
