Regarding the JST Future Society Creation Project of the large-scale project type “Development of advanced Hydrogen liquefaction system by using Magnetic Refrigeration technology”, Dr. Yoshihiro Oishi who was newly appointed in this April as PO (JST Management Head), Mr. Atushi Watanabe (Director of R and D Infrastructure Division of MEXT) and JST officials visited the Sakura site.
Dr. Nobuyuki Nishimiya (Program Manager of JST project, NIMS Invited Researcher) and others related to the project explained the progress of magnetic refrigeration system and magnetic refrigeration material development. After a tour of the magnetic refrigeration equipment for hydrogen liquefaction currently under development, they exchanged opinions with the people involved in the project, including Dr. Yasuo Koide, NIMS Executive Vice President. Although it was a short time, it was a very meaningful exchange of opinions.
