(July 28th 2011) Japan Program Manager Dr. Clive Woods at NSF visited NIMS accompanied by Ms. Anne Emig, Director of NSF Tokyo Regional Office at Embassy of the USA.
Discussion with student and host researcher
They visited the US graduate students staying at NIMS for the JSPS Summer Program. They discussed with the NIMS host researcher and also asked the students about their opinion and impression on the program and life in Japan. After receiving a brief introduction of MANA, they met President Ushioda and talked about various issues such as science and technology policy in the US and a current situation at NIMS after the 3.11 earthquake.
