Brazilian Ambassador Visits NIMS

(July 19, 2011) H.E. Marcos Bezerra Abbott GALVÃO, Brazilian Ambassador to Japan, visited NIMS and met three NIMS Vice-Presidents to exchange information on the present status and future possibility of research collaboration.

(July 19, 2011) H.E. Marcos Bezerra Abbott GALVÃO, Brazilian Ambassador to Japan, visited NIMS and met three NIMS Vice-Presidents to exchange information on the present status and future possibility of research collaboration.

The ambassador is particularly interested in the promotion of research related to the materials technologies for the excavation of abundant oil reserve in Brazil, the globally recognized aerospace industry and also nanotechnology.

After the meeting, he toured Nano-Fabrication and Characterization Facility and Nano-Bio and Chemistry Facility at Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Nanoscale Science and Technology (INST) and also International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA).  

Further development of research cooperation between Brazil and NIMS is expected in the future.
