MOU on "Developing high performance carbon fibers and hybrid composites"
(March 22, 2008) The NIMS Composites and Coating Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for collaboration with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Prof. J-M. Yang (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles) has friendship with the Composite Materials Group in the Composites and Coatings Center for more than ten years. He had performed a lecture about the hybrid materials in The 3rd NIMS International Conference "Materials for Human Safety" in March 2005 and the 1st NIMS composite materials group workshop in March 2007.
The signing of this MOU is expected to deepen cooperation in international joint research, exchanges of human resources, the holding of joint workshops and other activities.
