The CISRI was established in 1952 as the most comprehensive research organization in China specialized in iron and steel metallurgy. In 1999, the CISRI was transformed to a large technical-oriented enterprise engaged in diversified fields including development of iron-, nickel- and Ti-based structural materials, metallurgical technology and selling business of developed products. Taking advantage of this signing, the two institutes plan to promote exchanges of researchers and research information and carry out cooperative research in fields related to the Ti2AlNb-based high temperature titanium alloys.
