Growth of thin-film heterostructures of quantum/functional materials

  1. Applicant should (or is expected to ) have a PhD.
  2. Communication skills in English.
  3. Preferably, experience in thin-film growth by vacuum process, microfabrication in cleanroom, x-ray diffraction, or electrical transport measurement.

Wide-bandgap semiconductors MEMS or electronics

  1. PhD in physics, electronics, or materials science
  2. Research background in MEMS or semiconductor devices and physics, or related fields, etc.
  3. English writing and communication skills

State and elemental analysis of molecular materials using transmission electron microscopy

  1. Applicants should (or are expected to) have a PhD. degree
  2. Applicants should have experience in experiments using transmission electron microscopy (TEM/STEM). This does not depend on the materials that applicants have observed so far
  3. Applicants should have good communication skills to communicate within the group
  4. Applicants should be able to communicate about the research in English

Design and development of functional organic materials (molecules, polymers, and two-dimensional organic nanomaterials) based on organic chemistry.

  1. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree or expect to receive the degree by the start of the employment. They should have a robust background in materials science, with expertise in the synthesis and characterization of organic molecules/polymers or two-dimensional organic nanomaterials.

Magnetic imaging sensors using anomalous Hall effect

  1. Ph.D. degree in materials science, physic, applied physics, electronics, or related fields.
  2. Background on magnetism, magnetic materials, spintronics, or electronics is required.
  3. Experiences of spintronic materials research, thin film fabrication, device fabrication and characterization are desirable.
