Date:   Jan. 29th (Tue) to 30th (Wed), 2013
  Place: Tokyo Big Sight, Japan

The 2nd Canada-Japan Nanotechnology Workshop will be held on January 29–30, 2013 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo.

In view of the importance of Nanotechnology as a key technology in basic science, engineering, and industrial development, Canada and Japan have agreed to strengthen their collaboration in the field of Nanotechnology R&D through high-level discussions on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Canada-Japan Science and Technology Agreement. As a result, the first Canada-Japan Nanotechnology Workshop was held in November 2011 at Waterloo, Canada. The three main themes of the workshop were highlighting of recent research collaboration, identifying new opportunities for synergy and partnership in nanotechnology, and foresight of the road map for Canada-Japan collaboration.

The purpose of the WS is to explore and encourage new collaborative programs between Canada and Japan involving materials’ research related to Nanotechnology as well as to strengthen existing partnership programs.
