Abstract
【Introduction】Recently, we reported that the trace addition of Ga (0.5 at.%) substantially enhanced the coercivity due to the magnetic decoupling between the neighboring Nd2Fe14B grains by the formation of non-ferromanetic grain boundary (GB) phase [1]. However, there is a demand to optimize the Ga content since the excessive Ga addition results in the formation of Nd6Fe13Ga phase that leads to the decrease in the remanent magnetization. In this presentation, we present a microstructure and magnetic property of a high coercivity Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet with less addition of Ga.
