We investigate improving processing technology, searching new materials and developping function of non-oxide ceramics, which is represented by sialon.
Sialon ceramics with high strength, heat resistant sialons, sialon phosphors, ion-conductive nitride, and dielectric nitride ceramics were developped in NIMS. Research topics of our unit are focused on improving processing technology, searching new materials and developping function of a variety of non-oxide ceramics, taking advantege of the results so far.
