Development of high efficiency technologies for cost next generation solar cells to solve global-scale environmental and energy problems.
With today's intensive focus on global-scale environmental and energy problems, solar light, wind power, and geothermal energies have attracted great interest as the renewable energy.
Although crystalline silicon solar cells have already been commercialized, there are problems of high cost and materials supply.
We have been focusing on the next generation solar cell technologies from the low cost dye-sensitized and polymer solar cells to the super high efficiency solar cells to bring the substantial cost reduction. Our main research topics include the development of new materials and new device architectures based on our mechanism research.
