Young Researcher Award .Dr.Toshio Osada (NIMS Postdoctoral Researcher) won the Young Researcher Award (Engineering Materials) at the JIM(Japan Institute of Metals) 2011.

Best Poster Award. Mr. Takeru Mori (collaborative graduate student from Chiba Institute ofTechnology) won a Best Poster Award at the JIM (Japan Institute ofMetals) 2011 fall meeting held in Naha, Okinawa.

Best Paper Award. A recent paper related to Warm Spray technology developed by the Coating Materials Group was awarded the Journal of Thermal Spray Technology published by Springer/ASM International,Volume 19(2010).
