Abstract of Research

    Established in 2004, the Supermolecules Group researches fabrication and functionalization of nano-objects using organic synthetic and supramolecular approaches. For example, various nano-supramolecular assemblies of supermolecula units have been developed. Additionally, molecular capture through dynamic molecular recognition at the air-water interface has been realized. Transcription of supramolecular assemblies into nanostructures is also an important research target. A novel nanocarbon, known as the carbon nanocage, has been prepared by template synthesis.
