Development of a new type of nano-devices based on atomic/molecular mechanics
Main Researchs

We are developing new types of nano-devices based on atomic/molecular mechanics. In a nano-scale, structural change, such as caused by atomic/molecular movement, occurs in less than 1 n sec. with low energy consumption. The atomic device using the structural change also enables us to make a new type of electronics. Now, we are investigating the atomic switch using solid electrochemical reaction, light manipulation using the technique of STM-induced light emission and nano-wiring by chain polymerization of organic molecules.
