SHEET No. 91:
|
@The fatigue strength of non-load-carrying cruciform welded joints of 20-mm-thick SM490B steel was experimentally evaluated in ambient air. The 250-mm-wide slit-welded joints with a large tensile residual stress were tested at R=0. The 40-mm-wide welded specimens with a small residual stress were tested on Πmax=Πy (yield strength) condition. The results of these specimens coincided well for each other.

NIMS FATIGUE DATA SHEET No. 92: |
@Titanium alloys are important for airplanes and other fields where lightweight materials of high strength are favored. This data sheet systematically shows giga-cycle fatigue properties up to 1010 of Ti-6Al-4V alloy (900 MPa class), using ultrasonic fatigue testing machines at 20 kHz testing frequency.
