Research Interests

My research interests have been lying in design and synthesis of functional nanomaterials based on supramolecular concepts. The building blocks are porphyrin, dendric amphiphile, calixarene, and polymer. Recently, inorganic layered compound and metal oxides are involved. Using self-assembly via secondary interactions (e.g. hydrogen-bonding), those building blocks are organized into molecular capsule, supramolecular polymer, columnar liquid crystal, intercalated compound, nanoarchitectures, etc. to demonstrate supramolecular functions.
