MANA and RSC hosts the “MANA-RSC Symposium: Materials for Energy Generation and Storage”

29 Oct, 2015

MANA and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) held a symposium entitled “MANA-RSC Symposium: Materials for Energy Generation and Storage” From October 15 to 16 at the NIMS Namiki site in cooperation with the University of Tsukuba and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

This symposium featured 14 lectures by leading researchers, including Prof. Fraser Armstrong of Oxford University, and 38 poster presentations by young researchers. The total number of participants was over 130.

RSC, with more than 50,000 members, is a professional body for chemical scientists in the UK, and contributes to the development of the field of chemistry through various activities, including publications, events, scholarships and outreach activities.

MANA has established a collaborative relationship with RSC. For example, when Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP), which is one of the journals published by RSC, held the series of PCPP Asian Symposia 2012 in Korea, China and Japan, MANA was in charge of holding “PCCP-MANA Symposium on Nanotechnology, Materials and Physical Chemistry” in Japan.
