The Fourth Annual World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI) Joint Symposium in Tokyo

The Fourth Annual World Premier International Research Center Initiative(WPI) Joint Symposium will be held at the Yurakucho Asahi Hall in Tokyo, on Sat., December 13, 2014. It will be hosted by the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU) and co-hosted by the other 8 WPI centers including MANA. The symposium has been held jointly by the WPI centers since 2011, and its main purpose is to attract especially high school students to cutting-edge scientific research.

From MANA, Independent Scientist Genki Yoshikawa will attend this 2014 symposium, and will introduce people to his “Membrane-type Surface stress Sensor”, which mimics the human senses of “smell” and “taste” and realizes ultra-high sensitivity sensing.
