The International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS) is based on the fourth and fifth floors of the Nanomaterials & Biomaterials Research Building. The building is a five-story reinforced building with a total floor area of 13,000 m 2 , occupying a site at the south corner of the Namiki Site of NIMS. Offices for scientists and support staff together with discussion rooms are located at the southern wing of each floor. To the north of the offices are laboratories, where a nano-foundry and other essential facilities are installed. Thus, ICYS research fellows can conduct their research in a comfortable, well-appointed environment.
