HOW TO APPLY


Study the research field of the faculty members of the doctoral programs.

Contact the chairman or faculty members by e-mail. Send your Curriculum Vitae with a covering letter expressing your interest in the research subject.

If the faculty member shows his/her interest in supervising the candidate, submit application to the admission office of the University of Tsukuba during the application period.

Take entrance examination at the University of Tsukuba in July-August (or February). The examination is an oral examination (30 min for each applicant).
In the oral examination, each applicant must present his/her master's thesis or research achievements in Japanese or English for 15 min, and then, will be interviewed for 15 min.
* At the oral exam, applicants must submit score card of TOEIC and/or TOEFL. Note that applicants who forgot the score card can not take the exam.

The examination result will be informed from the chairman. Successful applicants start from April (or September).
