Systems and Nanotechnology Challenging in Unexplored Region

The aim of this project is to construct nanostructures as organic systems for actual application to material nanoarchitectonics. This will enable development of innovative materials and devices which are environmentfriendly and realize low energy consumption, while having high functions that exceed the bounds of conventional thinking, and will be useful in information processing, energy conversion, diagnosis, medicine, environmental purification, food production, and other fields.

Toward neuromorphic computational circuits using atomic switches
Realization of neuromorphic computational circuits using selfassembled
atomic switches

The six themes of this project are
  1. Nanosystem architecture
  2. Atomic electronics systems
  3. Organic/inorganic hybrid device systems
  4. Nanosystem superconductivity
  5. Nano functional integration systems
  6. Nanosystem modeling
The aims of the project are to realize a prototype of a neural network type computational/memory nanosystem using atomic switches, analyze and elucidate the basic operations of organic/inorganic hybrid devices, search for innovative t-system superconductors, carry out theoretical research on new superconducting devices, realize a prototype of an integrated nano antenna type solar utilization nanosystem, achieve new development in nanoprobe measurement technologies, etc.
