Synthesis by Organic Molecular Networks

Precision Molecular Networks for High Performance Materials

The goal of this project is to produce new value in organic and polymer materials in polymer solar cells, hologram recording, electronic paper, artificial muscles, medical filters, and osmotic power plants, which will be used in information and telecommunication technologies, the environmental and energy field, medicine, and other fields. Together with synthesizing polymers with innovative molecular functions, we develop new organization and integration methods suitable to giant molecules, and aim at their applications.

The aim of this project is to realize innovative material functions by synthesizing macromolecules with excellent molecular functions (conductive polymers, supramolecular polymers, liquid-like dyes, etc.) and by designing their precise network structures.
1. Development of separation functional materials with precise network structures
Realization of highly effective separation technologies for water and valuable gases by polymer network structures.
2. Exploration of optical and electronic functions of precise network structures
Improvement of the performance of conductive polymers and hologram materials by molecular networks.
3. Integration of high performance functional materials and verification of device functions
Verification of the device functions of organic/polymer materials with high speed electron/ion transfer properties.
