About "NIMS WEEK"

Aim and Scope

NIMS WEEK at last year

NIMS, as a one of the leading research institutes in the field of materials science and development in Japan, will held a series of symposia during the week of July 21st-24th called "NIMS Week 2009". The main topic is “Nanobio- materials and technologies: breakthrough for future medicine”. The aim of NIMS Week 2009 is to contribute to the evolution of medical field and technologies by the research and development of nanobio-materials and technologies.

During the NIMS Week, various activities are planned such as the NIMS Award ceremony and lectures, perspective reviews by Japanese and international leading researchers with the viewpoint of materials science contributing to new medical technologies. Four organized sessions and related satellite symposia are planned too.

We look forward to welcoming you in Tsukuba at a very fruitful and rewarding NIMS Week 2009.
