According to Journal Citation Reports 2018 by Clarivate Analytics, STAM’s Impact Factor is 4.787, increased by 26% compared with the last year (3.798). STAM ranks 51th out of 285 journals worldwide in the category of Materials Science & Multidisciplinary; it is the leading materials science journal published in Japan.

Science and Technology of Advanced Materials (STAM) is published by the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), in partnership with Taylor & Francis Group. STAM is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal with all articles accessible free of charge at http://tandfonline.com/stam. The journal covers a wide variety of materials science research fields including biomaterials, green technology and nanodevices.
