The MoU ceremony was organized in 10th March, 2014 at NIMS. A key person of SEU side is Prof. Yuanjian Zhang who spent some important years in NIMS as a young scientist. Prof. Zhang will try to design unique molecular structures of electrodes and NIMS side will examine the performance of the electrodes and fuel cell devices. After the MoU ceremony, Prof. Zhang talked his recent work in his seminar to strengthen the tie of both institutions.

SEU located in Nanjing is one of the oldest institutions of high education and scientific research in China. Its origin can be traced back to 1902. The university boasts over 34 schools or departments with 64 undergraduate disciplines in all, which offers 98 Ph.D. programs and 208 Master programs. The total number of faculty and staff is 6,000, including 1,300 full or associate professors.

Since NIMS is located in Tsukuba city, Tsukuba University will join this international collaboration team. It is expected that aforementioned research team will create lots of outcomes to develop the high quality electrodes in fuel cell and contribute to the materials science in both countries.
