"Research and development of biomaterial surface technology and biosensors for cell function control and diagnosis"

(July 24, 2009) The NIMS Biomaterials Center and the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), which is located in Barcelona, Spain, recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

The IBEC was established by the government of Catalonia, the University of Barcelona, and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and is actively engaged in research and development on biomaterials, regenerative medicine, nanobiotechnology, and biosensing. In the future, the two Centers plan to positively promote exchanges of human resources and information, and will cooperate in research and development of materials for regenerative medicine and sensor materials.
