NIMS signs MOU with China’s Beihang University
(September 15,2007, Beijing) The NIMS Composites and Coatings Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration on “Design and Development of High Temperature Coating Materials” with School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics).

Beihang university has a leading research group in the field of thermal barrier coatings (TBC), which is indispensable to protect crucial components such as turbine blades in modern turbine engines for airplanes. We plan to exchange information, researchers and students, and hold joint topical workshops in the future to promote mutual collaboration.
