(Apr. 18 – 20, 2005) The first NIMS/ICYS – Penn (University of Pennsylvania, USA) Materials Workshop was held at NIMS.
The Penn delegation visits the High Voltage Electron Microscopy Station.
A Penn delegation of younger faculty members headed by Prof. Klein, Director of the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter (LRSM), spent three days exchanging scientific information with NIMS researchers and ICYS research fellows and visiting research laboratories at NIMS.
