The NRIM super atom probe is equipped with a reflectron energy compensator with the optical tomographic atom probe detection system. Unlike previous 3DAP, this instrument can achieve high mass resolution while positioning atoms using a position senitive detector. This instrument was developed in collaboration with Groupe de Physique des Materiax, University of Rouen. The detailed descriptions of this instrument are given below.
