in situ characterization of interfacial processes by synchrotron-based techniques

Our research interests center on the development of synchrotron-based techniques for in situ analysis of chemical processes at solid/liquid interfaces and their applications for actual energy conversion devices. We have performed in situ XAFS analysis of electrocatalysts for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells and demonstrated in situ XPS characterization of electrochemically grown Si oxide.
